The Giza Pyramid Complex or the Giza Necropolis is the original site of the Giza Plateau including the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx of Giza. These pyramids date back to the Fourth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, it is also the site of many historic cemeteries at the edge of the Western Desert, about 9 km away from the Nile River. The Great Pyramid along with the Pyramid of Khafre was popular since the Hellenistic era and is by far among the oldest Ancient Wonders today.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities

Location:  Caro, Egypt

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities or the Egyptian Museum of Cairo has a remarkable collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities.  About 120000 items are displayed in the museum. The museum was built by an Italian construction company in 1901 and was officially open to the public in 2019.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

Location: located along the west bank of Nile, Giza, Egypt.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is carved out of limestone- a reclining sphinx that imitates a mythical creature. This site sits next to the Great Giza Plateau along the west bank of the Nile.  The face of the Sphinx is believed to resemble the pharaoh Khafre which is made from the bedrock with layers of limestone blocks.  The sphinx stretches for 73 meters, 20 meters high, and 19 meters wide. Today it sits as one of the oldest remaining structures designed by the ancient Egyptians.

The Karnak Temple Complex

Location: The Karnak Temple Complex is located near Luxor, Egypt

The Karnak Temple Complex features a swirl of temples, pylons, and chapels all of which were built during the reign of Senusret I –the Middle Kingdom, and it was the main place of worship during the 18th Dynasty Theban Triad.

Abu Simbel

Location: Abu Simbel is located in the village of Abu Simbel, Upper Egypt near the borders of Sudan

Abu Simbel is a series of 2 gigantic rock-cut temples located near the border of Sudan along the western banks of Lake Nasser. It has been designated in the UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Nubian Monuments that start from Abu Simbel Downriver till Philae. During the 13th century under King Ramesses II, the twin temple was carved out of a mountain. It was constructed to commemorate his victory in the battle of Kadesh.

The Luxor Temple

Location: The Luxor Temple is located along the east banks of the Nile River

The Luxor Temple is a massive Egyptian Temple constructed around 1400 BCE and is popularly known as the Southern Sanctuary according to the Egyptian language.  It houses many ancient Egyptian Temple like the Temple of Seti I (gurnah), The Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahri), and the Temple of Ramesses III (MedinetHabu), and many more. This temple was constructed in the dedication to the rejuvenation of kingship where Pharaohs were crowned in reality or conceptual.
