Why Must you Include Milos in your 2023 Bucket List –Best Islands To Check Out In Milos

Milos is nicknamed the island of colors, its landscape is filled with rich volcanic minerals, paints the Cliffside white, pink, and orange. You almost can't believe what you are seeing as the dreamlike coastline contrasts with the crystal-clear turquoise water and if you have ever dreamt of what a Greek town should resemble, look no further than the charming capital Placa. It was once a sanctuary where pirates used to hide out in caves now a place where Justin Bieber casually hides out on vacation. It is been voted as one of the greatest islands all over Europe and made the top ten must-visit world's top islands. Some say it is, even more, special and unique than its neighbor Mykonos and Santorini, and all of this without the crazy crowd. Milos is a quick ferry ride from Santorini only 18 euros and the ride is very luxurious.

FIRIPLAKA

It is not a beach but there are enough spots to put your pieces of stuff and go swimming right in the middle of the crazy blue clear water. They have plenty of places to sit and swim, this is one of the beaches you would want to come and have yourself a day, lay out grab some food. We highly recommend getting a travel-sized snorkel if you want to avoid paying rental fees.

Although the prices are a lot in July, the weather and the water temperature are perfect to swim all day.

TSIGRADO

Just one minute down the street of Tsigrado beach and it’s a little cove with crystal clear water. You could climb down on a ladder and a rope to get down there. It is a chill spot to hang out, relax on the beach maybe read a book. Shoes, sandals, or bare feet are not going to help you here so just come with whatever you have on and slowly make your way down. The latter part is super easy so don’t be scared to come down here.

PLAKA

Plaka is the capital city of Milos and it has these whitewashed buildings that Santorin had that you will see all over Greece, great views, great vibes, and many more. There's not just a lot of crowds, the streets are quite empty, very walkable and one of the best places where you can catch sunsets. The architecture, and the whitewash buildings all make Plaka an ideal place for a summer vacation.

SARAKINIKO

It is a famous spot on the island and also a very picturesque spot too because it is like a moonlike landscape right on the sea. You got caves and this moon-like rock structure which is surreal. Wake up early in the morning to catch amazing sunset views.
