Best Things To Do And See While You Are In Houston

Hi, my name is Matt, and my partner is Kelly. We have been traveling for 4+ years and we are really passionate about new places. Thanks to cheap American Airlines flight tickets- our travel has been made easier and more comfortable. American Airlines Deals gave us so many options to fly at a price that best suits our requirements. Since we always love to travel together something cheap really does speak a lot for us and American Airlines Deals is our one-stop shop.

Today we will show you some of our favorite spots in Houston where you can easily spend a day or two solos or with your friends.

First up is Gerald D Heinz –This water wall is one of the most famous and most popular things to come see in Houston and it makes a really incredible photo spot. This water wall stands 64 feet tall and recirculates 11000 gallons of water per minute. The Park opens at 8 am so make sure you don’t show up earlier than that because it will be just a waterless wall.

Since I and Matt got only 4 and a half hours to sleep we could get up early so that we can add up more places on our list.

Head to Retrospect if you want some good coffee early morning. What makes this place super unique is that it is a historical landmark- it was one of the first gas stations and also the first to offer travelers not only gas but also cold drinks. They called this concept a Kelvinator after the refrigerator Kelvinator.

Kelly felt that A trip to Houston is definitely incomplete without getting her hands on some Texas Barbeque. So, Kelly and I headed to our favorite barbeque spot –The Pit Room, we love this place and can’t get enough of their barbeque. The brisket is king in Texas barbeque and we love it moist.

Next, we made it to Buffalo Bayou Park, it is a 160-acre park and a fun place to walk around because there are lots of trails you can pick from, walk along the bayou, and great skyline views of the Downtown.

Next, we rode over to what’s called the Graffiti Park. It's just a couple of buildings with a bunch of graffiti and paintings, there are a million quinceaneras happenings and photoshoots, it’s a little bizarre but a cool place to check out once.
